Biographical Sketch
Researcher at CNR-ITM since 2012, degree and PhD in Chemical Engineering, since 2004 she participated in various research projects funded by the EU, MAECI, MIUR, CNR and private companies in the field of gas separation and membrane reactors. Winner of the “European Federation of Chemical Engineering – Excellence Award in Membrane Engineering 2010” for the best recognized PhD thesis in the years 2006-2009 in the field of membrane engineering. She serves as scientific and/or technical evaluator of research and industrial projects for funding institutions such as MiSE and MiUR (Italy), RCN (Norway), FWO (Belgium). She is co-author of more than 70 scientific papers published in scientific journals, 20 book chapters, a book set for RSC, 2 patent, various invited lectures and ca. 150 contributions at scientific conferences on membrane science and engineering.
Main fields of research:
- Catalytic membranes and membrane reactors for hydrogen production, CO2 and alkane conversion, biofuels production
- CO2 separation by membranes (polymeric, zeolite, etc.)
- Separation/concentration/purification of gas mixtures of industrial interest by membranes
- Water recovery from waste industrial streams by membrane condensers
- Processes innovation by introducing membrane operation in existing production cycles.
