Biographical Sketch:
Adolfo Iulianelli, Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Chemical and Material Engineering at the University of Calabria (Italy). Nowadays, he is Senior Researcher at the National Research Council - Institute on Membrane Technology of Italy. He is/was scientific responsible of various scientific projects, coordinating the activities focusing on the application of membrane engineering in the field of green chemistry, renewable energy, decarbonized H2 generation, fuel processing, CO2 capture and valorization, gas separation.
Iulianelli is author and co-author of more than 270 scientific products (h-index = 47 (SCOPUS), 50 (GOOGLE SCHOLAR)) as peer reviewed articles, patents, books, chapters book, etc., and has been included since 2020 in the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list compiled by Stanford University & Elsevier
Iulianelli has been Editor of various Elsevier’s books about hydrogen, membrane engineering and renewable sources, and currently he serves as Associate Editor of Fuel Processing Technology (Elsevier), co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology (Cosmos), Associate Editor of Frontiers of Chemical Engineering (Frontiers), Executive Guest Editor for International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (Elsevier), Renewable Energy (Elsevier), and Chemical Engineering and Processing Process Intensification (Elsevier), and editorial board member of several others.
Iulianelli delivered several Plenary/Keynote and Invited lectures, serving as Chair/President and Member of numerous Scientific/Organizing Committees in international conferences, workshops and further scientific events.
He is President of the International Agency for Green Energy – Italian Chapter and served as Monitor Expert for the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and as Expert Independent Rapporteur for the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), Expert Referee for MERANET agencies as well as for the US Department of Energy (DOE), the Fulbright Award Romania-U.S. Program, etc. and as Expert Evaluator for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commerce as well as for the Ministry of University and Research (ANVUR-VQR).
Iulianelli is qualified as Full Professor in “Chemical plants and technologies” & “Systems, methods and technologies of chemical and process engineering” and is Member of the “Industrial & Civil Engineering Ph.D. board“ at University of Calabria (Italy), supervising several Post-doc researchers, PhD and Master Degree students.

- Pd/Pd-alloys, carbon, graphene oxide, polymeric membranes for H2 separation/purification.
