Biographical Sketch: 

Francesca Macedonio obtained her PhD degree in Chemical Engineering and Materials in 2009 and graduated in Chemical Engineering in 2005. Her research activities focus on membrane science and engineering for water treatment. She received various awards and honors (such as Premio Sapio per la Ricerca Italiana 2008). She is member of the Section on Membrane Engineering of the EFCE; member of the organizing committee of various international workshops and conferences; one of the participants of the Delft Skyline Debates for the Research Agenda for Process Intensification-Towards a Sustainable World of 2050. She is involved in the research activities of various National and International projects, author of more than 60 scientific papers and 11 books chapters, co-editor of various special issues of international journals, co-editor of the books “Membrane Engineering” (De Gruyter Publishing) and “Membrane-based Desalination: An Integrated Approach” (IWA Publishig).

  • Membrane condenser for water and chemicals recovery from waste gaseous streams.
